Hey, I’m Colin and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC015601) and a Master Addiction Counselor (MAC512426). My educational foundation includes a Master of Science from Mercer University’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. My professional experience has included a variety of settings, such as inpatient psychiatric/addiction stabilization, long-term residential treatment, outpatient mental health and substance abuse treatment, collegiate counseling, and private practice. My diverse experiences have made me a well-rounded therapist uniquely positioned to serve a variety of clients.
I work most effectively with those actively seeking growth and change. I consider myself to be a generalist and am appreciative of exploring a range of concerns in my work. I particularly enjoy working with men’s issues, helping get people “unstuck,” substance use, relational difficulties, and with those navigating shame and confusion. I focus on relationship building with my clients because I believe human suffering is intensified by isolation, while connection can be deeply regulating and healing. Feeling understood and emotionally attuned to another person can soften pain and support resilience.

In addition to my role as a therapist, I am a devoted husband and parent who values connection and balance both at home and in my work. I have lived in the Atlanta area for the past 25+ years, after spending my younger life in South Georgia. My lived experiences have shaped my appreciation for both community and perspective. I currently call Decatur home and have a great appreciation for the diversity that exists here.
Outside of work, I enjoy my time as an adventurous amateur chef (often restricted by what the kids are willing to tolerate), an avid traveler (4 of 7 continents down so far!), and an enthusiastic motorcyclist (pictured during a fundraising ride supporting prostate cancer research, men’s mental health, and suicide prevention). Looking ahead to 2026, I plan to pick up a new hobby, possibly taking saxophone lessons or joining a basketball league, as a way to continue learning, stay active, and have fun.
